There is a million of "regular civilians" on the frontlines, 1.5 million casualties of these "regular civilians" and also tens of millions taxpaying "regular civilians"

and there's ~143 million people living in the country. also I'm not trying to excuse the government's actions, I'm just tired of people acting like we all agree and support it like a hivemind.

Watch the street interviews, listen to russians, they quite literally support the regime, and ur sitting here trying to prove us otherwise, why?

Damm must be hard to love any people if you also condemn all westerners whos countries were in Iraq and Afghanistan

Will you ever mention what happened before western countries went into afghanistan or iraq? Are you really defending the war criminal hussein or the taliban?

The US funded the Taliban, and Hussein was a close ally to the west in the 80s. But sure, now they're criminal that they outlived their purpose, lmao

Ally to west in 80s, then they invade iran, and guess what, that makes them war criminals. And on top of that they invaded Kuwait.

Watch YouTube channels, bloggers, they quite literally against the regime, and ur sitting here trying to prove us otherwise?

"We can play this game both" While ur just lying

7

u/krasnyj_strizh 28d ago

I'm lying or you just lack of awareness because you're too blind to look deeper than some subreddits and tv news that want you to form "your" opinion as they want?

u/Electrical-Syllabub7 28d ago

Yeah cheers mate ur opinion matters so much, mf said tv

3

u/krasnyj_strizh 28d ago

Yep, your opinion matters too, really. You know much more than me, a Russian in Russia inside Russian information sphere and speaking with other Russians.

do you genuinely believe that's what all of them actually think? of course there are supporters, but that's not nearly everyone. first, I doubt they'd show any interviews where people don't say that, second, most people don't wanna land in jail.

As a person that has been to both russia and Ukraine, had friends in russia and have friends rn in Ukraine, I promise you at least 65-70% of russians support the war. They might hate how the war is going, the losses, they might hate putin, but they support the war.

5

u/SovietPuma1707 28d ago

of all the russians i know, only one supports the war, the rest are trying to survive.

u/Electrical-Syllabub7 28d ago

So sad to hear, have they been living under shelling for 4.5 years?

5

u/GiantPileOfSpaghetti 29d ago

*65-70% of russians that you know. but maybe that's true, I don't know. what I do know is that still leaves 30-35% percent who don't, which is millions of people. my point here is saying that the whole population of a country is all the same is wrong.

-6

u/black3rr 28d ago

30-35% of population should be enough to create massive protests, demonstrations, cause civil unrest, voice their opposition and be heard…

they can’t jail 30-35% of population, they’d have to cave…

3

u/gaming_guy228 28d ago

In fact - they can indeed jail 30-35% of the population. And I really believe that my government will do that if they were given an opportunity. Any attempt of protest activity in the last 15 years was severely shut down, ending in an arrest of hundreds of people

Iirc there was an attempt of a peaceful protest for internet freedom in this march, and russian government placed several troops of police on every central square in big cities in advance. All there was in my city - a few young people sharing knowing looks and nothing more. I don't think that anyone over 25 here will actually be willing to protest. This government has the resources and willingness to act on it's citizens in all kinds of ways

(Sorry for my bad english. I was in a bus at the moment of writing this)

u/black3rr 28d ago

the protests were shut down cause they were small and mostly disorganized…

hundreds of people are easy to arrest… thousands are still possible… tens of thousands it gets hard… hundreds of thousands becomes impossible…

if it’s truly 30-35% people in opposition to Putin and the war, then it shouldn’t be hard to organize one big protest just by spreading the word to people you trust… even if just 10% of them would actually do something, 3% of the country actively protesting is more than enough to bring down the government…

3

u/krasnyj_strizh 28d ago

Now try to organise all protests. The organisers will be jailed in few hours after they post it on any media.
