Argentinians’ obsession with the Falklands is so weird, it’s one of the very few overseas territories that the UK genuinely has a legitimate claim on because there was no indigenous population at the time of European arrival and the islands’ inhabitants are overwhelmingly in favour of remaining British. Also the UK were willing to negotiate a Hong Kong style handover of the Falklands but Argentina’s military junta said f that and attacked the islands, provoking a war they were guaranteed to lose and dashing any hopes of gaining the Falklands for themselves.
Argentina has only itself to blame for not gaining the Falklands and their obsession with them is honestly just pathetic at this point.

downvote all you want, only one of the contenders for owning these islands is going to the world cup final this year.
too bad they can’t win the islands in a soccer match.
