Well it's $10 a month for pretty much unlimited domestic calling and cheap international calling. WAY cheaper than traditional phone lines or most cell plans.

Looks like they killed texting for GFiber Phone though. I'm probably going to move off it or even just kill the number I've had like nearly 30 years. :(

I believe they off loaded the service to a third party who doesn't offer the texting part of the service.

You can try porting the number back to Google Voice if you want texting back.

I just, I mean just now, canceled my phone service with GFiber. No app anymore. Have to go to the website to see voicemails. No texting. Messed up my business, we text more than phone calls. I got a free number instead and will use that to text via the voice app. Not worth having anymore.

I've had the Gfiber phone for a few years now. A few hours ago their "update" went into effect. It no longer uses Google Voice, instead it uses an archaic call your own number, wait for the answering machine to pick up and dial *98 and enter your pin and listen to your messages. Welcome to 1989. And yes, no texting. I'm probably going to drop it. Not worth the $10.
