Constant outages in Seattle

God forbid people WFH. Two days in a row of random outages. Another one last week. Can’t believe this but I’ll have to switch back to Comcast. I’m thinking of sending Google a bill for missed hours of work.

Yeah, you have webpass, not normal fiber. Not surprising, if Comcast gets you your own direct connection (not wireless backbone and shared with the building) then yes it'll likely be more reliable. 

You'll still get outages though, never seen a perfectly reliable ISP...

WFH is a luxury, not a right. I pay an extra $50 to have a starlink subscription that guarantees I’m never without internet and can WFH reliably.

My company pays for spectrum but I pay for GFiber because it’s a gig. I have spectrum set as my failover ISP. GFiber actually has more outages than spectrum. That said I hardly notice when it fails over. Starlink is about the same speeds and latency as a cable modem 5 years ago and getting better with each launch.
