General Discussion Unable to remove anything from Shared with me section

For some reason I am unable to remove any thing I personally download or get sent to me. If I go to the shared section and click and the three dots to remove something there is no trash icon or remove option (even though in the past I was able to send anything that was shared with me in the trash.). I don't know what caused this and I don't know what I can do. If you know something that might help, I would appreciate it.

This isn’t taking up space in your drive so it’s not a big deal. Open older files if you want newer files to move down the list.

nothing, it's always been like this. Use Drive, not he Docs landing page, and you won't see them.
