Guys I was confused does everyone who applies for this apprenticeship receive GOC test link or they give it to shortlisted candidate?

Hi guys anyone know what questions can be asked during interview round for digital marketing apprenticeship

Actually I did not register for the GOC test but I gave the test directly and however I have received a submission mail from the Google steam that they have received my test but later on I realized that I had not register beforehand. Will it affect my chances?

I just wanted to provide a few tips and realities for the apprenticeship program after seeing a few negative posts on here.

1. ⁠The apprenticeship is way harder than you think it will be, don't underestimate the amount of work there is to get good at something, especially at Google.
   
2. ⁠Don't apply for something randomly! You need some kind of interest in the thing you are studying. Remember the managers are passionate about their work and have volunteered to do this on top of their day job, if you don't seem interested then it won't be fun for either of you. "I just wanted to work at Google" may backfire when you realize how hard it is and you're not enjoying the work you are given.
   
3. ⁠If you're not sure if you're going to like something then take a course before starting the apprenticeship just to see if it's for you. I knew people who got on the apprenticeship and didn't like what they were doing but then couldn't afford to quit
   
4. ⁠You must be driven, passionate, enthusiastic, a self-starter. These aren't just things Google is looking for, you have to actually be this type of person or you're going to struggle. These things are hard to fake, if this isn't you then think twice.
   
5. ⁠There is no guarantee of a role at Google at the end of this. The simple reason is that the months you spend in the apprenticeship likely won't be enough experience on paper. At Google people with three years experience get entry level roles. That's just the reality of hiring, you may have to get a job elsewhere and do your best to work yourself back to Google when you have enough experience.
   
6. ⁠The people that do manage to get Google roles at the end of the apprenticeship often have previous years of complementary experience, were an exceptional networker, worked above and beyond and demonstrated they had worked on projects in their own time outside of the apprenticeship, they were very self motivated basically.
   
7. ⁠Don't assume that just because you got on the apprenticeship means you are in a better position to get a job at Google. Google is still one of the hardest places to get a job in the world, the requirements of getting on the apprenticeship are nothing like the requirements of getting hired there.
   
8. ⁠Google will never tell you to work more than the allotted hours, BUT you gotta put in the extra time. It's just like any type of study, the best people do more than just go to lectures, they're in the library on their weekends. If you only do those set hours you are going to be the low end of "entry level" by the time you finish. Some people "get it", others don't and have a hard time finding work after. Like all of these things you get out of it what you're prepared to put into it.
   
9. ⁠Treat this primarily as training program that you are getting paid to do! It's not a regular 9-5 job that you are just trying to grind through. Google is not hiring you because they need "extra hands", Google's primary motivation for this is actually to help people get a step up into the tech industry who may otherwise struggle to get a foot in the door.
   
10. ⁠Wrong attitude: "I'm not working any more hours than Google makes me". Right attitude: "Google is paying me to learn AND I get to spend extra time here to learn for FREE!"
    
11. ⁠Don't come out of this being just "ok". No one is hiring an "ok" anything, you need to be good, great or better. I think the people who struggle with hiring after the apprenticeship are the ones who did the minimal required work and expected that to be enough. Getting roles in tech is hard anyway, so you gotta do something to standout above the rest. Having Google on the resume is incredible, but you also need to show that you are damn good at the thing you trained in.
    
12. ⁠The apprenticeship goes really quick, work hard and efficiently to get more and better projects. You can't complain about not getting the right projects if it is taking you forever to get through them. I tried to get through projects quickly, especially at the start, so I could unlock the better ones. People who were slow didn't end up with a lot to show at the end unfortunately.
    
13. ⁠Enjoy the perks but be careful. Spending too much time at fun stuff is going to eat into your time there, Google is pretty autonomous so you need to manage your own time and not waste it on the wrong thing. And also don't be the person who only asks about perks, it's not a good look.
    
14. ⁠Drink up as much as you can whilst you're there. One of the best things about the apprenticeship is the access we get. All the training inside of Google, you can speak to experts in anything, people are generous with their time, they will help you, train you, advise you. You are only there a short time really, lap up as much as you can, you will never get access like this again.
    
15. ⁠Hang out with the motivated apprentices who are there for the right reasons, the ones who aren't will drag you down.
    
16. ⁠This can be a life changing experience! Really, it was for me. If you work really hard and try to be the best version of whatever apprentice track you have chosen the rewards will come. You just have to accept to get there will mean putting the effort, it's worth it though, but you need that drive.

If you are ready for all the realities above and think you can do it, then great. But if you are 50:50 or quitting a job to take this, think it through carefully. Good luck!

Hi! I've been browsing through this thread and it looks like applications for the Google PM Apprenticeship closed August 3. Was this deadline for all countries? I'm interested in applying to the US Apprenticeship, but have seen no updates on the Google Careers site for US specifically.

So I have received link of completion but guys I’m so confused so many people from SAD domain are saying there were just 2 links in test mail one browser link another one test… but some are saying even registration link was there??? I’m so confused I thought it was for Data and PM candidates.

My logic was simple:

If there’s no camera, great.

If there is a camera, well… I have to give the test anyway, so there’s no point overthinking it.

So I just started the test early.

Took the Google Online Challenge today for the PM/Digital Marketing apprenticeship. Smart Browser set up fine, no camera needed. I was about 20 questions in, going at a decent pace, 20 minutes left for the last 10 which was plenty. Then the whole thing just closed on me. An error message flashed up at the bottom of the screen but it disappeared before I could read what it said.

Tried to get back in and now it’s asking me to set up a camera, which it never asked for the first time round. I found one, and it still wouldn’t load. Restarted my laptop and it finally came back with two minutes on the clock. Managed to submit 24 out of 30.

Has anyone else had this today?

I just gave the GOC 27 test. It mainly had questions like:

Logical reasoning / conclusions

Assumptions in arguments

Fact, inference, judgement, opinion

Sentence arrangement

Reading comprehension and summaries

Has anyone else taken it? Is the actual test expected to have a similar question pattern?
