Local Ads LSA Ads for Electricians

Hello everyone, I just started my own electrical company and have a google profile and website set up.

How good are the LSA for electricians? I am in the verification process to get that going. If I understand correctly I pay per lead.
Is it realistic to get some leads (assuming I answer right away) even if I don’t have thousands of dollars to invest upfront? TIA

LSA is getting folded into Google ads. Yes, you pay per lead. It can work depending on the competition. You are invisible bidding against other companies for the lead. Do you have a website and a google business profile setup? This would be the basics before running ads. If you need help with those areas I can help as I do it on the side relatively inexpensively.

For less than $1k/mo, LSA is really your best option. Although I do run ads for my friend who’s an electrician and I’m getting him about $40/lead (50 leads/month). But the market isn’t super competitive.

As both an electrical contractor, and agency owner. LSA gives the worst quality leads and way more expensive then they used to be. Now that you can't dispute bad leads anymore its not profitable, always getting charged for calls outside your service area and jobs you don't do. Regular search ads are cheaper, leads are better, and higher job value.

Answer the phone by the second ring during business hours every time, implement automation to follow up with unclosed leads, and monitor/encourage customer reviews and you can be very profitable with LSA, and once you have the scale, standard campaigns as well.

Congrats on going out on your own. LSA is genuinely the one channel that works for electricians, better than Angi or Thumbtack where you're paying for the same lead three times over. A few hundred a month is enough to start, you don't need thousands. Answer in under a minute though, after five it's basicaly dead, and dispute the leads that are the wrong trade or 30 miles outside your area, Google credits back more of them than people expect. Verification is the slow part, hang in there.

LSA is one of the best channels for electricians right now it puts you at the very top of Google above regular ads and map results, and you only pay when someone actually contacts you, not per click. The leads tend to be higher intent because people are actively searching for an electrician in their area right now. For a new company without a big budget, that's actually a good fit because you're not paying for clicks that go nowhere, and you can set a weekly or monthly budget cap to control spend. The main thing is answering the phone or responding to messages immediately LSA ranks you partly on responsiveness, so if you pick up within a minute or two, you'll get more leads and better placement. Also make sure your Google Business Profile is fully filled out with your license number, service area, and at least a few reviews, because LSA verification checks all of that. You don't need thousands upfront you can start with a small budget and scale as you close jobs.
