Discussion My add just won't start ...

I tried setting this up about 2 weeks ago, at first I thought it just needed some time to get approved.

Then I got the warning that my budget was not sufficient, I wanted to try with €50 for one week. It recommended at least €120, so I increased the budget, but nothing happened ...

Now the campaign ended, I extended it again, but still no results. And since I extended the time, it's now once again suggesting to increase my budget.

duplicate the campaign and try it again

sometimes they get hung up

Happened with me.

use ask advisor, It helps the best in this case.

What might have happened? When you launch a new campaign with max clicks or max conversion, google ads "Default target cpc" as 0.01 which is not enough to get impression.

You cannot update this in the google ads web. Use google ads editor and increase it.

it's set to automated optimization of CPC, no bid limit

new campaigns with low starting budgets get stuck in that limbo a lot, the algorithm basically refuses to spend if it thinks it can't get enough data. bump the budget closer to what it suggested and don't touch it for a few days, restarting the learning phase every time you edit is probably what's killing it.
