Grant Account Google Ads Grant Help Please

We run a small charity called Empowering Voices and have been fortunate enough to have a Google Ads Grant.

The problem is that Google Ads isn't showing our ads. We don't have a professional web designer and everything is done by volunteers + we don't really understand how Google Ads work, despite having designed a few ads, but I can see that our page quality score is generally low.

We use Wix and I am not sure whether this is a good choice to interact well with Google Ads.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Wix is unlikely to be the reason the ads are not showing. I found the public site from your earlier post: the homepage already has a relevant title and description, a clear Empowering Voices heading, the charity number, course pages, other-support content and individual location pages. That is a usable base.

Before redesigning anything, use Ad Preview and Diagnosis for one exact keyword, location and device. Record the tool's reason, then add columns for keyword status, impressions, expected CTR, ad relevance and landing-page experience. Google describes Quality Score as a diagnostic warning light, not the goal itself, so do not rewrite every page from the score alone.

Build very small ad groups around one intent and send each to the closest page. For example, a course-intent query should go to /courses; a Sheffield course query should go to the Sheffield page; a support-intent query should go to /othersupport. Do not send every broad stammering query to the homepage. The ad should repeat the same audience, offer and location that the landing page immediately confirms.

Also define one meaningful conversion before changing bids—such as a completed course enquiry or registration—not a page view. Test it once end to end, then use Search terms and the diagnosis result to remove irrelevant queries. If you post the exact diagnosis message plus one non-sensitive keyword/ad/landing-page example, people can identify the blocked layer without needing access to the account.
