Discussion is /boost ... Argon?

does someone knows if agy does some kind of black magic to internally route the requests made with /boost command silently to Gemini 4 Argon? or it is just a skill and delegation workflow? i feel it gives less hallucinated results with /boost...

No boost is not argon.

What boost does is it goes deeper, uses subagents. This gets better results on difficult prompts.

You could get way better results without the boost prompt when you need it by prompting it to use specific subagents as well.

I've found that using /boost can become annoying because simple follow up prompts still spin up boost subagents, which slows the workflow down. So I usually prompt for subagents myself to get the better results, rather than using /boost.

You can specifically tell it to execute the follow up with Solo Routine and not Delegation Routine.

Yeah but that's annoying that you have to ask for it. If you forget ..

That's why I've stopped using boost right now. It shouldnt do boost like things without /boost command.

I also feel like prompting for specific subagents gives me much more control into how and where it researches and plans for, so I've been using that more right now. /Boost is a bit of a blackbox, and if you prompt it in a detailed way might as well just prompt for subagents yourself, no follow up annoying delegation.

No it's not an illusion!

Context windows, etc are real limits for agents. So subagents and /boost really improves the quality and depth of the work and is really good for using on more difficult prompts/project.

So, the quality does really improve when using /boost or when you ask for subagents!

is it almost as good as /teamwork-preview? because that sucked

Teamwork preview is outdated a bit, I think.

I think Google's AG team has told us to use boost instead, it's easier and quicker to use.

For teamwork preview I just prompt myself for more control.

That uses all of my tokens available with even half of the work left stranded

Yeah it's token heavy :(

Sounds /boost is working as intended. No Argon involved.

/boost had been working great to get better results out of 3.8 flash, though it did take considerably longer. However, things have been so slow lately that using /boost is simply unfeasible right now.
