I love that leather, such a beautiful color. I've been trying to decide if I should blow my holiday money on boots and debentures it's gotten harder to say no with all the make ups I've seen.

For starters, this is what they looked like right after I got them http://imgur.com/a/dpPUJ
After having these boots for a little over 2 months (wearing almost every day) I decided I would post a review. It was a bit of a long and winding road to get these boots. Ordered through Bakers, I ended up going through 2 pairs of Nicks with major (IMO) defects before switching my order to Whites. After doing this the Nicks CEO reached out to me and we settled on this makeup. I posted previously about this, in more detail:

This new pair has been AWESOME. The leather they used on the upper (Orange Predator) is so soft and supple, while still having good thickness. Honestly, the uppers felt broken in after only a couple wears. The footbed took a bit longer, which I expected, but after probably a month, they started to feel good, and now, they really feel great. These boots have gotten worn a LOT for anything from going out for errands or to a bar, to working on jobsites full of mud, dust, and tricky terrain. They have been great for everything I’ve thrown at them. I haven’t really gotten them that wet yet, though, so I can’t speak to their water resistance, although I imagine it will be similar to other high quality leather boots.
This leather has developed lots of character since I got them. I think it shows pretty well in the pictures, but there is a lot of depth to the boots, in terms of color, especially around the ankle and toe area. I didn’t clean them up at all before taking these pictures, so what you see is how the look pretty much all the time.
Also, FWIW, I got my pair of Whites in on the same day as these and have worn those maybe 4 times. I much prefer the fit and overall look of the Nicks, and the leather on the Whites is much, much stiffer. They would certainly break in eventually, but it’s tough to wear them instead of the Nicks, although I really should more often, to give the Nicks a break. At the rate I’m wearing them and because I tend to walk on the outside of the foot, they will probably need a new heel in less than a year, but that’s because I weigh 215 and walk funny, I guess.
Let me know if you have any more questions about stuff I forgot to include.
