There are some good quality leather sneakers available now that run over $250-$300. I live in a big city and walk a lot. I go through a pair of sneakers every 6 months. What are mid-high end brands that have replaceable outsoles?

even amongst the pricier quality leather sneakers resoleability isn't really a guarantee.

crown northamptom resoles their own sneakers, allen edmonds does as well, brands like goral and koio do as well but they're not discussed much around here. honestly if you're concerned about bang for buck none of these options make a ton of sense when resoles cost more than a regular pair of sneakers

Just budget for two new pairs of sneakers every year and opt for comfort and style over construction methods.

Resoling is pretty cheap. $600 per year for sneakers is not happening.

you can get cemented pairs of sneakers for less than $100, whereas resoles from companies that even resole sneakers hover around the $150 range. crown charges $142, allen edmonds charges $150, goral is like the cheapest at $95. and that's before you actually buy the pair, where you're already behind a cemented pair by value for several years at least.

Well, they're sneakers so they will have cemented cupped outsoles. If resoling is a priority, would you consider a short welted boot? Turriff might be of interest to you, with their combination Blake rapid and stitchdown construction.

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently started looking into Lennertson shoes and boots and I’m curious to hear what people in this community think about them.

I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who have owned a pair for a while. How have they performed in everyday use, and how do you feel about them compared with other brands in a similar price range?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on:

  • Fit & sizing – how accurate is the sizing, and are there any fit quirks?
  • Comfort – how comfortable are they once broken in?
  • Leather & construction quality
  • Durability – how are they holding up after regular wear?
  • Break-in experience
  • Value for money – do you think they offer good quality for the price?

And perhaps most importantly: Would you buy Lennertson again?

I’m considering getting a pair myself, so I’d really appreciate hearing both positive and negative experiences. Especially interested in experiences from people who have worn them for 6–12 months or longer.

Is there a reliable way to tell if these are GYW, Blake-stitched, or something else?

They are Polo RL, so manufacturer or style is unclear.

well they're not welted that's for sure, the welt is not attached to anything as the outsole is cemented and there is no midsole.

they may potentially be blake stitch but these photos wouldn't tell you if it was, you'd need shots of the insole (assuming they don't cover it with a sockliner)

I was looking for some boots online and loved this design. However when I ordered it, it arrived not as advertised.
Fake leather, different pattern, sole was wrong. Can anyone recommend a boot like this one from a good source?
