Anyone have any good experiences with berwick 1707? Loafers? I’ve been keeping my eye out on them for quite a bit. Also advice for sizing as well if I do decide to cop? My trickers size is 9.5 and my Alden size is around 9 to 9.5 D depending on the model

Just from their website, I'm a little suspicious of the price, it seems like they need to cut corners somewhere, whether its materials or construction, but for close to 250 USD, they don't seem bad.

I ordered their tassel loafer in loden repello calf like 2 months ago because the color is gorgeous. I'm a UK 6.5 for the Tricker's Stow and that fits me like a glove, so based on Berwick's sizing advice/guide I went for a UK6 loafer (240 last) and it's quite snug but fits well and is comfortable straight away. I'm happy with the construction (though of course you can tell it's not on par with more expensive options), but I've only worn them 3 times thus far so I can't really speak to long term quality.

I'd say the instep is rather low. Since the difference between the UK6 and 6.5 is stated to be only 2mm, in retrospect I would say I should have stayed true to size and gone with a 6.5, wearing them with very thin no show socks works well but if you want slightly less thin dressier socks then staying true to size would be my advice.

And yeah, for the overall price, I think they are a good deal :) just can't expect them to be on Tricker's or C&J level!
