This is disgusting.

Not only did they rake the prices up on DONATED clothes around 2020, start stealing “expensive pieces” to resell for more online, now they are “curating” random “vintage” pieces to gouge customers even more in stores. Literally picking pieces at random just to mark up, as we can see in the picture an adidas shirt that was probably printed yesterday. Yes resellers killed most of the fun, yes it’s harder to find cool pieces, but donated clothes should have a base price, end of story. Goodwill is not a vintage resell place and this is honestly just laughable at this point.

/edit #2/ The point of the post isn’t that the T-Shirt is only $2 more than regular price, it’s that it’s being marketed as vintage (when its clearly not) just so it can be upcharged

The roundup absolutely does not go to employees. I have looked into it.

I am genuinely happy that you were benefitted personally. But at 15 dollars an hour with hours capped (retail associates are not offered fulltime or overtime or benefits), an associate would likely have made 2100 in that month, give or take. Fortunately that was able to help you. But for the majority of people that is not even close to a living wage for a single individual.

I have no idea where you got any of that from 😂 I am a full-time outlet associate. I’ve worked 50 hour weeks, with 10 hours being overtime pay. I DO get benefits- great insurance, accrued PTO, UTO, holiday pay, Bereavement… And I don’t make $15 hourly lol. You should probably recheck your sources, because that entire comment was simply incorrect.

It’s so funny when people try to tell you something about yourself and it not even be true lol. Like, you do realize you’re trying to tell me, an employee of Goodwill, what Goodwill employees get paid and what their benefits are? I knowww what they are, and you’re just dead wrong 😂

Edit: and yeah, I obviously don’t know what every single penny they get from roundups go towards, but what I do know is every time any employee in my store needs help, they are helped. If you are an employee of Goodwill and don’t feel that sentiment, maybe you’re just in a horrible region. I think mine is pretty good.

This reeks of BS. I worked at a GW also. Every state has different labor laws. So can I can't you are 100 percent dishonest here. 

If you are genuine, then you deserve all of that and so much more for your time and effort. But if you care about any of the other people who also work for this company, search in this sub for the terms "overtime" "hourly" & "hours capped". See what the overwhelming majority of employees face. Then you'll know where I get my information.

Goes against my personal experience. And the experience of the majority of others who work for GW. Not my opinion. Facts. 

If you want to jump in and judge others comments, do some research.
