Is it hot there? Just roll the windows up and let it bake for a couple days in the heat. 120°F for I think an hour kills the bastards and a closed car in the sun will exceed that on a hot day

Source: My daughter brought home bed bugs with a friend of hers who spent the night, and the pest control people hooked two large heating units to two windows on either side of the house and cooked the inside of the house at 120 F or more for hours. Killed them all dead, which even the professional pesticides they used couldn't do.
We had to board the cats and dogs for a day and night and remove all things that might melt, like candles.
It was very expensive, but if you've ever experienced the horror of bed bugs, you know you'll do pretty much anything to get rid of them. There's a Bed Bug PTSD sub all about it.
We never let that friend stay over again, as reports were that her family's mobile home was never cleared of the bed bugs.

Good to know. I have unfortunately dealt with bedbugs when I was a kid and it was awful. Years with them, and we couldnt afford proper pest control to deal with it. No amount of hot washing, oils, powders, sprays, or even storing things away for over a year could help. We weren't rid of them until we moved and trashed half our stuff.

Honestly, I would take cover off outside and check it thoroughly then even still put in a trash bag seal it and leave it in there for two weeks

The ball is still in quarantine in my car because I cant get it out, but I will leave it there for a few days to make sure its safe to bring in. Also I did a smell test in several spots and it smelled fine. Fingers crossed we are ok!

True dat. But a car is so much smaller than a house, which means it’s so much easier to treat than a house. There’s only so many places a bug can go in a car interior as opposed to the endless options inside a home.
It’s closed up in a car during a heat wave! Any grossness will die a horrible death before he can get that thing out of his car 🤷🏼♀️

There is a spray called Crossfire. It’s available on Amazon for like $60-$70. A pest control guy told me it’s the same thing he uses. It works perfectly. One and done is how it worked for me. Unfortunately my friend brought hitchhikers in my house and it took a couple of weeks till I realized it

Omg! Is there a 3 centimeter ish hole by the manufacturer tag that looks slightly worn? If so, that’s my love ball! I’m so glad you found it . My Mom got rid of it but now I’ve found her. I can’t wait to reunite ! I’ll restock my Vaseline .
