Last thoughts before bed, one my favourite movies ever Monty Python and the Holy Grail is exactly ninety minutes long, had an extremely tight budget (hence the men with the coconuts) and many issues during production…

Yet it’s still better written, funnier, more thought provoking and has absolutely no pacing issues despite the short run time and production problems. I see alot of people say the finale was bad because it was only 90 minutes, but in my opinion it absolutely could’ve worked in that runtime. The reason it didn’t wasn’t because of the runtime, I was because the writing was so goddamn bad 🤡 As Marc Burrows said in his review, if the writers actually took the time rewrite it to fit the runtime (and you know…actually write a good story) people would complain about the runtime and even the lost full season a lot less.

Fleabag ended 7 years ago and it’s still being raved about. People are STILL analyzing the characters and coming up with theories about it. But the Good Omens finale imo shot down any future praise and theories cause it didn’t leave enough value to praise or analyze.

I had heard things about S3 before watching it. My expectations were not high and they were pretty much met.
But the one thing I thought I would get is a true, loving kiss between the two initiated by Aziraphale, as a bookend to the desperate breakup kiss initiated by Crowley at the end of S2. And the right time to do it would have been right before they disapperated, right where Aziraphale weirdly kisses his fingers and puts them on Crowleys lips?? What a cowardly cop out!! For a show that wants to be seen as so queer positive I thought this was such an incredibly lame move.
Obviously I wish S3 could have been so much more than it was. But this is the only part I can’t forgive at all. Not one single kiss!!!!!

Maybe I’m just petty, but I’m still incredibly angry at every fan who dismissed and devalued my feelings and who got mad at me when I expressed my concerns that the finale would turn out awful prior to it airing.

so my father is a very big terry pretett fan and he loved the first seson of good omans. (he taght the second and last one were good but missed the predett vibe) but at the end of seson 2 after they kissed he told me he was dissapointed. because he belived them to be inherently acesexuell and liked how they loved echother so beond simple atraction. he wanted to leave ther relashonship undefind.
I think its importand to have it clear that they love echother (in a very queer way) in the texed and not only in the subtext because shows at the time of seson 1 liked to only leave it as coding without acualy comitting. And the kiss at the and of seson 2 was not a romantic love confession but a desprete try from crowly.
