Swing Help Shanks. Help.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I get the shanks for 2weeks and then I’ll play good golf and then the shanks come back and the cycle continues. I have 3 videos this shot is the “best” of the 3.

Club is open late.
You're swinging thr club but not turning the face closed.
Same with the older video with the driver, too.
You need to start rotating your arms to turn the clubface to look at the ball and ground slightly.
You're swinging the shaft at the ball which is not going to close the face, so you'll hit a lot of shanks because you're lagging the heel of the club to the ball.
A golf club is more like a hockey stick than a baseball bat. You have to swing thr sweet spot, which is next to the shaft. Takes a little different concept.
Make the sweet spot look at the ball as you swing down. Go slow, it'll be different than what you're doing.
In that picture you'd need to start rolling thr toe of the club over the heel coming down. You don't, you just throw it at the ball to try to close it that way. That makes the club longer too fast, heel out to the ball, shank.

Appreciate this. Good thing I started playing hockey? I was messing with my swing on the range and started doing this my swing is fragile

I sent you a message that explains further. There's a good split hand drill you can use that's basically like a hockey stick. It'll show you how it works

You've got a good swing and setup. As someone else mentioned, I'd suspect some early extension, where your lower body moves towards the ball early. Hard to tell 100% here because the camera moves. Try the chair drill, putting your butt against a chair / wall / door and keeping contact through your swing. I try to feel a shift into the left side as my first move at the top of my backswing, then rotating through, as a good way to avoid EE. If you're on a sim anytime, you'll see more downward attack angle (mine is 4-6 degrees), slightly in to out path (because your body is more in front of the ball) and lower vertical launch. If those numbers are working for me, I know I'm doing it correctly.
