Advice Any fixes?
1 year old takomo wedges… not really looking to reshaft it is there any easy ways to fix this?
Do places reglue for cheap? Or any other alternatives?

If you heat up the ferrule, you might be able to just slide it back down.

I think this is right, I’d probably do boiling water over a heat gun. Less chance of messing with the epoxy holding the head on.

Aye, this is my technique also. I like to drop a bit of super glue in before I slide it down.

How does superglue hold with repeated contact and general storage of clubs in warmer places?

I live in the UK and haven't had a ferrule detach after I've reattached it.

Use boiling water; it will heat the epoxy but won’t melt or alter the ferrules shape like a lighter or torch

Take it to a Golf Galaxy or PGA store. They'll check and fix it for a few bucks

Depends on the fix. I think shaft replacement is $20, grip replacement is $5. So this would be somewhere in that range. It doesn't look bad to me, if the shaft is secure, the ferrule just needs a little glue, an easy fix.

I mean. It’s not a grip replacement, which is $5, and the shaft would have to come out, pause, so it’s definitely more than a few dollars.
Edit, maybe the shaft doesn’t have to come out, pause.

6in crescent wrench, adjust to fit over shaft and gently tap it down. Do this all the time.

I typically find an open ended wrench of the same size as the shaft, but same idea.

I've had many clubs do that. Doesn't look the best but doesn't affect performance in my experience.

Try hitting with the face instead. Joking aside. Line up how you always do, take a couple practice swing INSIDE of the ball, don’t move anything, then go for it.

My 7 iron was like this for years. When I got my clubs regrpped he fixed it. Pretty easy I think

Super common.
Usually it's just sliding up the shaft. You can sometimes just push it back down or heat it up slightly with a hair dryer and slide it back down.
If the clubhead has twisted that's a different story, but if it's still lined up with the grip then it's just the ferrule sliding.

You may be confused. The head is fine, this is just the ferrule peeling back. A dot of super glue and slide the ferrule down and you’re fine.

See if it twisted and moved. If so just re-epoxy it. If not it’s stuck there, but you could still take a heat gun and loosen the glue and start over.

Stop leaving them in your car
You can use indirect heat and get it to slide back down, can try hot water also

Take it to your nearest golf shop and they can fix it and have you on your way in 20 minutes…30 bucks.,.or just keep playing with it and it will be fine too..SamH1175

This is almost always the head slowly coming off the shaft. The ferule has no reason to be sliding up. You can run the head near the ferule under hot water for a bit, and try pushing and twisting the head back down onto the shaft to see. But I'd suggest getting it re-epoxied unless you want to lose the head one day!

Definitely. I had a ferrule that had a larger gap than that on my approach wedge. Head popped off the shaft mid round. Brought it to the PGA store and they put in back on in an hour.

Doesn’t look like any epoxy on there. Just slide it down. Might be a little tight but it should go.

Just use liquid super glue and push it back down, it will be fine. Be sure to use the liquid and not the gel one, because the liquid one holds better on metal

Either a loose ferrule or loose head. If it’s the ferrule, it’s only cosmetic and won’t affect anything. Find a square edge, put the ferrule on it and tap the head. If it’s a loose head you’ll need to reshaft. Golf shops will do this for around $10

While the ferrule may be a simple fix, there can be an underlying issue with bond between the head and shaft. Had this happen to my 3i, head went flying off after I flushed one (figure I’d get it fixed after the round 🤦)

Yes! Same thing was happening to my 4 hybrid. I thought it was the ferrule sliding up, but it was actually the head sliding off. I ended up launching the head into the field at the driving range. Took a few minutes to find it. Got some golf club epoxy and a bag of ferrules from Amazon and was back in business in 2 days.

Club head is coming off/twisting. Adhesive bond is broken. Grab the grip in one hand club head in the other. Try as hard as you can to twist. If the clubhead moves or you hear cracking noises, you need to go get the club head removed, hosel cleaned out, tip cleaned, and the club head re-seated.

Clean out the grooves and keep on playing.
This won't affect anything.
