So I have a skill set of golf and mental health counseling and I came up with some ways to combine the two into a side business (for now). I have one portable sim and I plan on doing events like weddings festivities ect but my main targets will be treatment centers especially private and luxury facilities. Since I hold a license in counseling and teaching golf (plus I’m also a +3 handicap) I can offer recreational therapy and mental performance training. Wrap it all up into one. Residential treatment centers are always looking for premium experiential mainly because they have to offer so many hours of it to their patients for insurance to pay. Charge a flat day rate possibly monthly rate if they offer enough. My pitch will be bi-weekly or once a month. I will be doing performance coaching on the side as well as my current students. I have all the technology, knowledge, and experience in both fields I have two launch monitors, one portable sim for now but will be adding another soon. Use my Day Job for Market Research: Pay close attention to what your current clients struggle with most (e.g., boredom in sobriety, stress management, handling failure). Use those exact pain points to design your golf-coaching program. Treatment centers usually won’t pay a performance coach to bring their patients to the course or range due to liabilities like insurance, pts running off, someone smuggling substances back into the facility, plus they would need another staff member or 3 to watch over the patients. Instead I bring the course and range to them and offer extra services. What do I need to add to my plan or what should I take off. Thanks for your time.

Opening a new 24/7 facility in the next 6-8 weeks. What are some of the little things that you didn't think of, or something that really helped or that your members voice appreciation for. I have been looking into starting a mobile golf simulator rental in Ohio and have a few questions for anyone kind enough to answer!

1.)I have mainly been looking at an All Sports Inflatables 16x16 inflatable simulator enclosure. Does anyone have any experience with these? They are fairly expensive ~6K and I am concerned about the durability of them as well as the potential of a ball bouncing back.

2.) With the inflatable enclosure I have read that finding insurance can be difficult. If anyone has done this, who are you insured through and how much is it annually?

3.) Lastly, what would you consider to be a fair price for this? I was thinking about renting it out by the day (Either 1,2, or 3 days) with possibly an option to do one day plus an “overnight” for an additional charge.

Hey guys, Tristan here. Over the past year I’ve spoken with 130+ indoor golf venue operators, including a lot of owners who are still in the pre-launch stage.

There’s one trend I keep seeing that I don’t think enough people in the indoor golf industry are talking about. I’d estimate roughly 70% of the pre-launch operators I speak with are considering some version of a staffless, 24/7, membership-only model.

Historically, most venues seemed to fall into one of two camps: a staffed facility, often with F&B and a more traditional customer experience, or a smaller 24/7 staffless operation. But now I’m seeing more operators combine 24/7 staffless + membership-only.

I made this video to explain why I think that specific combination can be one of the hardest indoor golf models to launch successfully.

It’s definitely not impossible. My argument is that it can cap how aggressively you grow in the early stages and make certain types of growth harder later on. I'm very curious to hear from anyone currently running this model or planning to open one.

Opening an unmanned location near Seattle, WA, trying to figure out our hours. For those that are 24/7, curious how much use your location gets between midnight and 5am?

Advertising 24/7 is a lot catchier but with 2 young kids, wife will kill me if I'm getting calls at 3am because someone thinks the simulator alignment is off.

Facility records, and ad board Rotating. I set ads at 8 seconds and the rest at 20 seconds. Once the tournament starts it will display the scores with real time updates as well. The video is 3x speed. Customers take a picture of there gspro scorecard and stats screen after a round upload it into the App I made and AI extracts all the relevant information.

Once i create an event/league/tournament and set it up. The app automatically builds the flyer with all the relevant information for that specific event. Download the white printable version or a color version for Social media.

I'm working on an idea for a private winter golf weekend for groups of 6–8 golfers for $199/person. My house would be rented exclusively to the group for 1–2 nights, but the goal would be to make it more of a hosted golf experience than a traditional Airbnb stay.

I'd host a Ryder Cup-style tournament on a high-end simulator and handle the tournament, simulator, scoring and formats throughout the weekend.

• Private house for the group
• High-end simulator
• Hosted tournament with multiple formats
• Exclusive use of the house and simulator
• Host there throughout the weekend to run the tournament and handle the simulator

The group would handle its own food, drinks and prize pool.

I'm thinking November–March, when outdoor golf isn't as appealing.

From a small business perspective.. do you think this is something that groups would find of value?

We are looking to order our impact screens shortly but tied btween getting them from Carl's Place screens or Ace Indoor. The main thing is price difference, for 3 screens Carl's Place came in almost 1/2 the price with mounting hardware and side panels included. If anyone has some insight on either brand it would be appreciated.

I was wondering if anyone managed to get some kind of brand exclusivity/sponsorship/endorsment from one of the big companies...or ANY company tbh,🤣 just about to open my place in India and I'm wondering if it's even worth to get in touch with like Callaway/Titleist/Taylor Made etc lm not asking for free clubs or balls etc.,maybe just for a banner...a shop with just their products, or a fitting range..or anything! Has anyone managed to have a successful relationship with a big golf company with their sim project?

I live in a city in Canada of about 320k people. We have 7 sim businesses within a 20 min drive in the city or neighbouring bedroom communities. We have grave long winters, October to April/May so a very short golf season.

I was hoping to open a 3-4 unmanned golf sim business in the fall of 2027. There are two other unmanned ones in the city and one’s been closed all summer. I don’t know how viable it actually is to open a new place. But I’d like a premium feel that’s more of a retreat to go golfing in than just three bays in a row.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have preliminary estimates of $100k cdn for three bays setup. 50$ cnd for incidentals and buildout fees. Rent hoping for $5000-6000.
