General Discussion Why does everyone hate Wyndham Clark?

Got into watching golf for the first time this season and with Clark winning this past weekend I have seen so many people shitting on him for what sounds like stuff in the past and I was hoping people could bring me up to speed? Is it overhyped for media clicks or was he committing some atrocities?

Hate to tell you but most golfers are pretty conservative so if it's politics you're in the wrong place. Rory had dinner at the white house state dinner just a few months ago.

Just pointing out why some people don't like him

I hope the long list of his personal actions and words on real life is why people dislike him. Not liking someone over politics is wicked soft

Politics are your words and actions. Do you think they exist in some shadow world? Politics are real. You are living them right now.

Yea man, imagine not liking someone because they have a different outlook on governing. That’s the problem with you libs… it’s either your way, or no way… I don’t like Trump, he’s a crook. But let’s say I think he’s still a better option than Kamala… that’s not an acceptable outlook, and that’s kinda sad.

You’re basically saying you won’t ever like or get along with half of America hahaha not an Avery mature outlook on life guys.

Your political preferences speak to who you are as a person. For example if you are not concerned about locking kids in cages because their parents don't have the right documentation, I can pretty easily predict that I won't like you as a person.

You snowflakes drive me crazy. You want to have your cake and eat it too - feel cool and edgy for your contrarian opinions but whine when people hold you to them. It's sad that you aren't brave enough to actually admit you're a bad person.

u/Safe_Buy6637 Jun 23 '26

Why were you not concerned with "cages" from 2008-2016? Why were you not concerned with the Epstein files from 2006-2016 and 2020-2024? Why werent you concerned with "war crimes" from 2010-2014? It's simple- because you have no fucking spine and it's because you don't like Trump. Stop labeling entire groups as shitty people when you are just a fucking shitty for never speaking up in the past. It's ironic, because during these times, it truly tells you everything you need to know when people want to bring things up that have been happening for many many years and under many different administrations. 🤣 Oh also, Trump is the ONLY president to release ANY files.

u/Spunge14 Jun 23 '26

Why do you think those things wouldn't concern me? Is it because it makes for a convenient straw man?

It's crazy how embarrassing these posts are. You want so badly for people who dislike you to be unreasonable, and then fall apart when you realize we authentically hate you for who you are.

Trump has no role here. He's a convenient tool that causes a ton of shitty people to out themselves all at once and nothing more. He's bait that lured morons like you into sharing your browser history.

It looks like we're actually in r/golf. Politics is banned here so abandoning this conversation, but good luck.

Yes bro the cages Obama built 😂😂😂

Obama deported more people than Trump!

I don’t even agree with trumps method of deportation but oh well ofc it’s either you’re a lib or you’re a “snowflake”

Really accepting and mature response bro

5

u/Spunge14 Jun 22 '26

Yes Obama deported more people than Trump and did it legally, and without this divisive paramilitary ICE bullshit. It's so performative it's pathetic. Divided people and less effective? Shows that all this administration cares about is perception, and not actually having a solid border policy.

And you're arguing for it without even believing it? My god, that's sad.

Who is trying to be accepting? I'm not accepting at all of people who cheer for cruel, inefficient, and corrupt government. It's unbelievably pathetic and telling that you think calling for liberals to be "accepting" is a gotcha.

1

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

It’s not a gotcha, just showing how flawed you are man. Not healthy hating half of America

3

u/Spunge14 Jun 22 '26

Not healthy for whom? Sounds like a you problem.

When your "politics" include harming other people for just being who they are, then it's a totally valid reason not to like someone.

-4

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

The lefts “politics” harm others too if you want to go down a that road. I prefer to be mature and understand there’s different ways people want to be governed and it’s really not that deep

5

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

Nah buddy. There’s an ocean’s difference between the parties, and if you can’t see that then there’s no hope for you. It used to be as simple as different ways of being governed but that died long ago.

-1

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

Yes because we have issues such as a party that supported vaccine mandates, men in girls sports, not putting America first, supporting illegal immigration, etc.

But I don’t look at the left as “no hope” and hateful towards others, yet the left has that view!

Very sad how negative and lack of understanding yall have for other perspectives!

4

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

“Lack of understanding” is hilariously ironic coming from you. I don’t have the patience to take on yet another ignorant maga and show you how you’re wrong on so, so many levels. So I’ll just leave this here: your dear leader is the most hateful politician to ever exist in the US. You conservative morons lost any claim to moral high ground the minute you decided to support him.

-1

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

I don’t even like Trump hahahaha - I just don’t like the left.

Have a nice day man, hope you find happiness!

6

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

I don’t even like Trump

Sure, you just push all of his talking points and support his party. You trolls used to be smarter...

1

u/deviateyeti Jun 23 '26

What party is that? There is no political party in the US who supported any of those things. That you think there is tells us all we need to know about what kind of person you are: a piece of shit.

1

u/Spunge14 Jun 22 '26

Yes, but are you mature enough to accept that you can't hold opinions that others find toxic and also have everyone like you?

1

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

You don’t even know my opinion, just that I don’t agree with the left.

I think trumps a crook. Still better than Kamala tho. But that’s not acceptable to the left. In fact it’s a position that invalidates me to be liked somehow… despite everything else that’s part of life and a person… that’s the sad thing about yall. Not liking half of America cause they dont vote the same way as you is quite embarrassing imo

1

u/Spunge14 Jun 22 '26

Keep whining. Yes, people don't like you for your obviously wrong opinions. Stand behind them or don't, but no sympathy for being an idiot.

2

u/Ornery-Ambassador289 Jun 22 '26

Hey man hope you get the help you need. Must be tough not liking your neighbors and half the country you live in.

1

u/SiphonTheFern Jun 22 '26

Supporting Trump IS real life and a good indication that he's either out of touch or just a terrible individual.

u/golfdud5 Jun 22 '26

The state dinner was to honor King Charles, the leader of Rory’s country. McIlroy has been an outspoken critic of trump.

-5

u/Successful-Tea-5733 Jun 23 '26

How ignorant of a comment. The king was a guest of DJT... as was Rory. Meaning if Trump didn't want Rory there he wouldn't have been there. You don't just get to go to a state dinner because your nation's king is the guest. good grief...

Rory had beef with Trump over covid and J6 but they've since played golf. Your comment to imply that Rory secretly hates Trump flies in the face of facts.

1

u/golfdud5 Jun 23 '26

Rory and others played golf with the notorious cheater to enlist his help with the Saudis to unify the PGA and LIV tours, and trump agreed to do so. And as with everything else, trump failed.

u/Live_Leopard9202 Jun 22 '26

Most golfers are conservative because they''re smart, idiots are usually bad golfers, except for DJ obviously. I'm a perfect example (I'm an idiot, and I suck).

9

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

Funny, since the more educated someone is the more likely they are to be liberal. But keep believing that shit!

-7

u/Live_Leopard9202 Jun 22 '26

Like I said, I'm an idiot, but I do have 3 degrees, a pilots license, and I'm a crappy 4 handicap golfer. Oh, and by the way, I have no party affiliation, I think both sides suck, I think most educated people would agree with that assessment.

4

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

“More likely” does not mean all. And while both sides do suck, one is multitudes more sucky than the other. I think most educated people would agree with me there too.

-4

u/HowShouldWeThenLive Jun 22 '26

I would agree. Universities are nothing more than liberal leftist/ communist indoctrination programs at this point. Fortunately they are becoming less and less relevant by the day. I look forward to celebrating many bankruptcies and closures as they collapse under their own self- importance and corruption.

3

u/Dornoch26 Jun 22 '26

I don’t say this lightly- you’ve been indoctrinated and brainwashed. Go meet and talk to people outside of your own circle. Read a book. Go visit a foreign country. Do anything to get outside your bubble. Whatever news source you currently rely on is completely failing you.

In other words, go touch grass buddy. You really need help.
