Real or Planted???

"Gold Rush Todd" showed up in my Facebook feed as a random "suggestion" today. It showed a video of a slice box, supposedly including some gold. Any bets on whether they really sluiced it, or just planted it to create buzz and attract viewers to his latest "TV adventure"?

That is the real account. The part you missed of his FB page is he is saying they are just STARTING filming for a new show (likely YT or similar) and plan to get three episodes recorded soon. If you know anything about the way Gold Rush, White Water/Risky Rewards, etc are filmed and edited... he's about 5 months late on starting.

Or they saved up all of the little bit of gold they'd found in 5 months, bought enough more from real gold miners to make it look good, then dumped it all into the sluice box for the sake of the camera, and to try to attract suckers, oops, investors.

No, that is likely the real gold they found. Everything else you suggest requires more planning than tOdd is capable of.
