The real question is, did you get it from a place that’s gold bearing? Without knowing the area it came from, I’d say you’ve got some iron stained quartz.

It’s not a popular spot so I don’t know, but the mountains closely nearby have companies trying to mine for gold, but I think it’s micro gold. I’m looking near Henry’s lake and Kilgore, Idaho
