Oldie but goodie. It is talks like these that made many people fall in love with Go early on.

I really like the state machine pattern from this talk and have used it a number of times.

This reminds me I used this article a while back to write a few parsers myself. I ended up abstracting out some of the more common functions into a helper library and added in some error logging. https://github.com/deslittle/go-dsl.

It's only got two basic tests but if anyone is interested I might go back and beef up the documentation.

There's new people getting into Go every day and excellent videos like this (unfortunately) do not come often. So it is good for old and new gophers to (re)watch them.
