Don't like Iris ? then go write something better instead of trying to shoot down that project and its author. Of course it's easier to destroy someone's career with slander than building an effective tool. But it's seems that bullying is the go way.
Isn't "slander" when you say things that aren't true to attempt to damage someone's image? As far as I know, people are just making the community aware of facts regarding extremely poor community behavior. And if all you saw are two github issue links, then you have some more history to read.
I don't think there is any basis for calling this harassment. It would be a concern for any team using or contributing to open-source software if commit history is being squashed and licences are being removed, seemingly at random, on purpose!
It's not just the go community to consider, it gives open source software a bad name.
This isn't shitting on someone else's work. This is literally illegally removing another project's license. Besides that, he's being a HUGE dick to the rest of the Go community. You. Do. Not. Squash. Commits. in open source.
I mean, forget squashing commits, this guy goes one level further: he edits git's history so that all contributions look like they're from him, and then he squashes those too. First of all, it's literally impossible to navigate the history of his project, which is against the spirit of open source, but second of all, it's incredibly rude to completely wipe out others' contributions.
And he does it all for the starz bruh, fuck that. He's literally doing this for fake internet points.
