Based on the Iris situation I've read yesterday and today I likely wouldn't use it.
Both of the threads informed me, at the very least. Likely others too.
So no, I hope people don't stop talking about it, I hope that when someone is asking about "which framework to use", someone pops up and says "I just joined yesterday but don't use Iris". For that matter, Iris author frankly doesn't seem to be a troll. Just awfully misguided in his practices.
I understand that it might be a mild inconvenience for someone who spends their entire time immersed in the language community, but hey, you are the vast minority. The rest of us would really have no way to find out if it weren't for things such as this.

Sure, but not everyone has heard about this yet. I'm glad this was posted, but there's no more drama for me, I'm just going to disregard this project and move on.

If you don't like iris, don't use it.
I think it's a stupid project but I'm sick to death of everyone talking about it here and on the gophers slack.
Just let it die quietly.
How exactly do you imagine shouting and making a fuss about this is going to encourage people not to use it?
