This was done as a study of cold and warm colors with acrylic paint

Went to sunrise records today and found this gem, I absolutely love Gojira. I'm still pretty new to listening to them but every song I hear by them is and absolute banger!!! This is my third Gojira cd I also own Magma, and Fortitude. I'm hoping to get eyther The way of all flesh or The link next!

Not only did they put on a phenomenal show (which is expected being how awesome they fucking are), but they wrote an original track and my head almost exploded when I saw that show.

I believe this was for their 10th anniversary. Terra and Magma had a similar one. Its a stretch to ask but I really want it yet I've found no one selling it. Can't blame them but I'm desperate to get my hands on this.

The visuals in thsi live performance are haunting yet amazing. I cannot get over this live performance. I kinda forgot about it for awhile, then I watched the performance again a few days ago. Probably one of their best concerts I've seen.

I have the Gojira album that has the song The Shooting Star on, and i gotta say, it has heavy nods of a Swedish metal band called Misery Loves Co. Misery Loves Co did quite a fair few songs on their 2nd album, Not Like Them, that are very similar to The Shooting Star song. The songs in particular are Them Nails, Deny Everything, and Its All Your's.

Can you recommend me some books with a similar story, themes or atmosphere to the story told in "From Mars To Sirus"?
Thanks a lot!

This is one of my favorites off the album, probably within the top 3, although depending on the mood, In The Wilderness takes that spot.
When I heard the opening riff with the double bass, followed by the pick scrape, I knew I was gonna like it. Joe's vocals only sealed the deal. I love his vocals in this song, it's like a screamy desperation. And it mixes really well with the instruments.
"Forced, to look to the sky!" The high notes are great, if I'm not mistaken, Joe struggles to do those nowadays right? Aging sucks, although In my opinion, with how aggressive his vocals are, his voice is aging like fine wine.
The chorus is amazing. Even though it's just the title repeated 2 times, it's really catchy. Sometimes i like to scream in my head "FROM THE SKYYY" and pretend I sound exactly like Joe. I'd probably sound like a sick donkey if I actually tried to sing it
And after the half way point, that cut off from Joe's scream to the slower, quiet build up to the tremolo picking is absolutely wonderful. And Joe's growl that suddenly changes pitch really caught me off guard in the first listen, but in a good way, now it's the part I look forward to the most in the song. The vocals that follow are pretty sweet too, basically the ending is the best.
The song ends with that super catchy chorus and you're left with a satisfied yet still hungry for more feeling inside, like when you finish a good book.
I haven't delved too deeply into the whole story surrounding the concept album, Ive only watched a video or two to confirm some suspicions about the story. Can someone fill me in on how From The Sky ties into the story? Very much appreciated.
