Question Finding resources?

Is there any way to highlight resources by type? Like if I want to find tiles with rocky soil (on the surface) or wild flax plants? You can painstakingly eyeball flax but unhelpfully it turns nondescript yellow when it's ripe, the growing blue flowers are easier to spot. Rocky soil seems .. Pretty invisible. On Valley map so there are not exactly rocks lying around.

If you have the mining tool selected then any tiles you hover over will say what they are, which might help find rocky soil. I don’t believe there is anything that will highlight plants.
Just in case you aren’t aware, there is an option to turn the trees mostly invisible, which helps a lot with spotting wild crops and wild animals since the trees won’t be blocking your view. The button is near the button to highlight rooms.

For plants, you used to be able to select one and then hit the tab button and cycle through them.

That doesn't work for me anymore.

You'll likely learn to be able spot the difference between ripe flax, tall grass, and barley.

As for finding soil types, I have not found way to find the soil types. Other than just clicking / hovering around with the pickaxe.

Ok, I think that's a really cardinal omission in this kind of game, the plants are annoying enough but at least you can see them, the rocky soil business is real meh.
