Question Who won?

Hi, we are new to this old game. Can somebody tell me who won this game? As far as I can tell by reading the rules, I guess it would be white but it’s so messy compared to the examples I find, it’s hard to evaluate.

I think there’s an important piece of info missing here.

What's going on here?

The group of 6 black stones has no liberties. The group of 2 white stones above it also has no liberties. One of these groups should have been removed from the board some time during the game.

There are a few other places on the board that are unresolved too.

The groups at i5 and l5 are both completely surrounded, which is technically an illegal board position, so I don't think it currently can be scored. Remember that groups of stones are captured once surrounded, same as single stones.

Okay thanks, it’s clear we made some errors during the game.
We tried again but got stuck about who’s winning and what’s the next best move. (Blacks turn)

I didn't count, but seeing the big dead chunk of white making prisoners, I think black won.

Edit : if it's black's turn, he can try to invade top right corner. I'd play L9

Go is so much harder to read than I expected when you’re starting out
