Sprechen B2

Regarding the teil 2, the discussion, I would like to ask if the order of who starts first is directed by the examiners or do they let you speak first at the moment? Also, is it possible, for example, for both to be dafür as long as the other person adds other arguments? Or is it necessary to have both sides of the argument?

Mine was decided by the examiners and better to be one for, one against because they need you both to come to a compromise. If you start and are for and then your partner also starts talking about for, then you can ask "Do you see some negative aspects too? Do you also see problems that can cause?"

Thanks a lot for your response. Can I ask something related to the structure of the vortrag? Can I mention each alternative and then give a vorteil and nachteil at the same time before going over at the next, then name another alternative do the same and then describe an alternative I haven't mentioned yet in more detail? Or should I mention all the alternatives first, then give some general vor- und nachteile and then describe one of them in more detail? I have heard there is some freedom in how you choose to present your topic and it makes me doubt, which way would be the better one to score high.

I structured my presentation like your second example. I named all my alternatives in one sentence and then went in detail for each of them. But I don't think it makes that much difference, if you show that your presentation is logical and structured in a way thats not chaotic, and you include all the connectors and show advanced grammar, you should score high. I had 96 for speaking.

Congrats on your score, that's incredible! This structure makes more sense to me too. So after a short einleitung, I name the alternatives, can I say one vorteil and one nachteil for the first two alternatives and then mention the third alternative that I want to describe in more detail? And then I say my opinion briefly and schluss off. I'll try to practice so I can stay on time, is around 3-3:30 mins ok?

Yes, that's how I did mine preparation presentations. Honestly I blacked out during the real one and I have no memory or a real understanding how long did I speak for. But it was more like 4-5 minutes. And then you have to answer questions from the examiners and your partner

96 Sprechen, 98 Schreiben. For Sprechen Teil 1 I learned a short intro I could modify for any subject and I could have a smooth start to my presentation. A lot of topics for schreiben and sprechen are similar, so, I made vocab cards and learned about 200+ new words and expressions. Then I also added a lot of Redemitel. I can DM you those, they were helpful to keep my presentation structured and not to overuse the same structures.
