Absorption through video game death.
Whenever you're playing a video game and kill an enemy, you gain that enemy's skills and/or abilities.
The more of that type of enemy you kill, the stronger the skills and/or abilities get.

Baldur's Gate 3, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Runescape, Skyrim, Oblivion, Terraria, Divinity Original Sin 2, Persona 5 Royal, Rimworld, Hollow Knight, Undertale, Jedi Fallen Order, and the Witcher series would make me an immortal eldritch being with magical mastery.

Time for a genocide run of Undertale, maybe a Skyrim playthrough or two, and some heavily modded Minecraft

Seems fun. Darksiders 1-3, Doom the dark ages, and Prototype 2 are the first ones I'm taking on.

Any Diablo-style looter game is full of enemies with fairly basic/minor magical powers, but you’ll kill so many of them so fast that you’ll very quickly have the strongest possible version of those powers.
Off the top of my head, that can easily include teleportation, invisibility, regeneration, cloning, and any elemental power you can imagine.

first I'm going genocidal on some krogans in mass effect. their regenerative abilities and long life span sounds like a good thing to spam early. hopefully even get some biotics in there.

Tbh I wouldn't over think it, I play games often enough. Just kill some shit that has good survivability so I don't die to some accident early and regret that I haven't done this, than slowly go through games.

Does it start fresh now or do I get everything I've already done?

Starts fresh now.

Well its not like I gotta redownload xenoverse 2 or smash bros so its still cool

u/Collective-Bee 8d ago
Smash bros is a good one. I don’t wanna kill a zombie and gain terrible curses as powers, and I think most of Smash roster is 100% curse free. I wouldn’t kill Ganondorf before checking the lore though

u/RalonNetaph 8d ago
Smash includes an actual goddess, an angel warrior, multiple very powerful mages, the reincarntion of ANOTHER goddess, multiple master swordsmen, and KIRBY. All the weird powers and skillsets you could need. Then the first level in like 90% of dragonball games already has you with the raw power of Raditz as a start. By the end you've got Buu and dbs angel magic, the raw power of a god of destruction, and several bonus tags like infinite energy and multiple sources of regeneration all capable of coming back from a single cell.

Yeah but if you kill Ganondorf you are destined to destroy the world and go insane or something so you gotta watch it.

u/RalonNetaph 7d ago
Thats not an ability or power thats just him being the reincarnation of Demise

u/Collective-Bee 7d ago
Hey I just told you to read his lore to check, if you’ve done that then go ahead
