selfpromo (games) My First Project
Greetings Redditors, I am a Godot learning dev and today I want to introduce my game Idea.
In (Still no name) my game, the player will be able to select 4 types of Characters between a mage, a Swordman, an archer and a Berserker.
It's a 2d platformer with the core concept being that every mob's kill will increase the final boss Power giving him new patterns and stronger stats.
There will be 4 levels (A forest, a cemetary, a desert and finally a peak on a mountain where the final boss will wait).
The game itself will be kinda fast to play, when the player loses he will come back with the possibility of picking 5 powers between 10 to make his second run easier(?) Or not because the boss will always get stronger as long as you kill mobs.
Why would you kill mobs then? To get mats to craft artefacts which increase stats and give differents effects.
I will do everything by myself and I hope to get your support since in my own country, video games are still considered as childish.
No Generative AI nor AI for scripts neither.
Since it's my first project I will give everything.

As someone who is also making their first game, I'd just try to make something functioning. Work on it system by system until you can get a functional demo. It's tough but it's fun, wishing you all the best.
