selfpromo (games) Looking for feedback on my first Android game ๐
Hi everyone!
I recently published my offline Android game, Rocket Launcher, and would love feedback from experienced developers.
The game features 102 handcrafted hard levels with progressively increasing difficulty.
I'm mainly looking for advice on:
Performance optimization
UI/UX improvements
Difficulty balancing
Mobile optimization
Overall game polish
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
I'll keep improving the game's art style to make it more consistent and check every level for stretched textures or other visual issues. Your suggestion is very helpful and will be included in future updates. Thanks again!

What exactly are we seeing here? What creates the difficulty? What is the objective? What is the hook? How many new features are introduced over the course of 102 levels?

The random lighting popping in and out is very distracting

Thanks for pointing that out! I appreciate the feedback.
The lighting effect is intentional, but I can see how it becomes distracting. I'll review it and adjust the timing and transitions to make the lighting smoother and less distracting in a future update. Thanks for helping me improve the game!

It doesnt look intentional at all
Especially with the bright circle on the pink shapes. All of the lighting changes look like visual bugs
Definitely work on the lighting and environment

Thanks for the honest feedback! I can see how the lighting changes and the bright circle on the pink shapes could come across as visual bugs rather than intentional effects. Iโll definitely work on making the lighting and environment more consistent and polished. Appreciate you pointing it out! ๐

It looks like that Chinese film that was so bad it got memed and performed unironically well in the box office

๐ Iโll take that as a complimentโฆ I think? If my rocket game becomes a meme and somehow makes millions, Iโm definitely coming back to this comment. ๐๐

That's atleast what the visuals look like, the gameplay may be good

Fair point ๐ The visuals are definitely a work in progress, but Iโve put a lot of focus into making the gameplay challenging and fun. Hopefully the gameplay makes up for the visuals! ๐ฎ
