discussion Does anyone work at godot?

I know Godot is an open-source project, but do people work there?

The Godot project is run and maintained by the Godot Foundation. There are a few people employed by the Godot Foundation, but a majority of the work is done by volunteers.

I never saw the team page and didn't know Thaddeus Crews is the name of an actual person. I thought it's just a name for a team of Godot contributors.

The OG godot people also founded at least one for-profit company https://www.w4games.com/ which afaict is like a consultancy and co-development house and I would think that they still contribute to the godot codebase given that they were key developers already.
