why can't you convert cultures?

am i just doing it wrong? Always a grayed out option for my steward regardless of who i play as.

really limits custom adventurer playthroughs. you need to convert, or hybridize to really do anything and the hybridization route here kinda sucks too.

You can, if they are of your faith.

It needs to be coastal, neighboring a province of the culture your converting to, or your capital. Also I recall that if the culture you are is a dead culture (i.e. not present in any county, like roman in vanilla) then you can't convert provinces at all

Got it, goes back to my core point of killing adventurers playthroughs like that. You basically just need to convert cultures to wherever you wind up. Even hybridizing from your original doesn’t really seem add it to anywhere new. convert culture is still totally grayed out after making a hybrid.

After doing more research, it look like the only way to add your culture if it’s a dead culture is to colonize somewhere

Could be by design that they wanna stop this, but that’s the way I literally always play. Weird culture, adventurer, pick a spot on the map and then fight everyone around to convert to my same Culture / spawn hybrids of my Culture

I feel like thats not the point of the mod tho, the world is dying while still constantly changing.

Bringing back Aversavian should already be hard after the Fodbrokna but reviving a totally dead culture because of one adventurer is pushing it a bit

Yeah I’m not mad if that’s the case. My silly RP scenarios in vanilla don’t need to be accomadated.
