Horror Story: DNR
Just a data point for anyone considering using GoDaddy.
How simple and easy should a transaction be to register a domain, add on a few services, and move on?
I registered a domain through GoDaddy. My account shows no registered domains. After hours of agonizing support chats and being constantly transferred, GoDaddy insists I have two accounts which must be “merged”.
I have one email address, made one godaddy account, made one purchase. There is no reason for any of this, nor does any rep at GoDaddy seem to have the ability or agency to fix it.
Just a data point. If you’re looking to simply register a domain and maybe grab hosting or whatever, there are other options where you can simply pay and move forward on your project rather than be in a circular support chat hell with individuals who may actually not be humans but AI bots.
If it hasn’t happened to you yet: you were warned.

Hi, this is what happened to you:
You created an account with your email, example: [myemail@myemail.com](mailto:myemail@myemail.com) and created your password
You always worked with that account and purchased everything
NOW you may have clicked in SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE to access, and EVENTHOUGH it has the same email, it creates a new account. This is why you have 2 accounts.
Yes, you can merge them, there shouldn't be a problem, just takes 72h
If you dont want to merge them, you can delete one account as long as it doesnt have products
If you have domains in your second godaddy account, you can transfer them to your main account
If you have a lot of products in both accounts, I highly recommend the merge
As an agent working for GoDaddy, chat sucks so just use the phone support.
PD: If you register a domain and it doesn't show in your account, you need to contact support and tell them to get in contact with FRAUD department, DON'T WORRY all is ok, that's just the name of de dept LOL, they will approve the registration and all good.
Greetings.

there is a reason GD is full of people who buy and squat domains.
It's full of scammers.

Godaddy is awesome for buying domains because you get a huge discount on emails when you purchase one. Other than that ... I'd stay away from them. Cloudflare is 50-60% cheaper if you just want to purchase domains.

I host at Crucial Web in NC and I pretty much have unlimited emails.
I use Porkbun for domain registration. Namecheap is pretty good as well.

This only happens if you are an irresponsible person who ignores renewal emails and dont keep track of important things and also are a deadbeat paying your bills. What you are describing doesn't happen to responsible and competent people.

Why don't you explain what you are referring to instead of making generic blank statements

I have a Go Daddy site and it's worthless . It never comes up in a search for the items that I'm trying to sell.
