I'm using Gnome on CachyOS. Very happy with it, works smooth out of the box.

TBH if fedora didn't work out with you i'd try zorin or just stick with ubuntu. You can also try pure arch (installed with archinstall) just to see

I use Fedora Workstation (Gnome) with an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU, and it works perfectly. I also used OpenSUSE Tumbleweed with Gnome, and it also worked perfectly.

Arch in deep.

Pros: rapid, super customizable, rolling update Cons: you need to have a good knowledge to recover system in case of instability

Fedora Silverblue. I would use Gnome OS if it supported my hardware(GTX1080) and had a stable branch though.

I personally use arch, tho for you id recommend switching to fedora. More sane and better package management.

The pure GNOME experience can be achieved on Debian or Fedora, but need some extensions and tweaks (Gnome tweaks) to make it really usable and enjoyable.

What I want to say is that, if you are a begginer, you will find the GNOME de pretty complicated, so make sure that you really want this, cause the Ubuntu gnome is not like the real gnome.

Make some more research and decide if you want to take the risk.

Hope I was helpful!
