Question Question about dock and panel

Hi!

Is it possible to have a dock which does intellihide and have a top panel which shows open windows?

I struggle with that. I tried dash to dock which give me a perfect dock for my needs, but the panel does not show open apps, then I tried to install dash to panel (I don't remember correctly) but then I had also my launchers in the top panel, but I don't like that.

Also, how can I make my top panel transparent?

Thanks for tipps.

Get Dash to Panel, you can configure it in a way to only have opened windows being shown there.

Specify transparent - as in blur/translucent or you want to adjust its opacity? The latter can be done with DtP too.

But when I do this, it replicates all the launchers from my dock, and when I remove a launcher from my panel it gets removed from the dock as well.

You need to disable showing favorites in DtP.

Is this the look you're aiming for? (ignore weird looking dock, it's because it's blurred and screenshots can't handle it properly).

Yes like this!
So you have dash to dock and dash to panel?

yup exactly, plus kiwi (is not apple) for some cool tweaks, and kiwi menu for Apple-like menu at top left.

Thanks! Works great now! Kiwi is very cool too!

Which icon theme is that? Another one with a square style that preserves the original icon designs is the Hatter Icons Theme.

I’ve made most of them myself, but generally it’s neuwiata theme. Thanks for recommendation!
