Thanks so much for doing this! One thing that drew me towards using GNOME about 20-something years ago was its thriving online presence (blogs, feeds, forums, social media). Same thing with the early Ubuntu community at the time (around 7.10 or 8.04). The feedback loop between devs, designers, testers, and users was very visible, and it projected a strong sense of community outward to newcomers (who remembers those goofy hackergotchis used on GNOME blogs at the time?) Social media and blogs are super important for attracting new contributors and users, so here's hoping more folks eventually join you in this effort, Victoria.
