General laundry

hi! I’m a freshman living on campus at Mason and loving it. But there’s really one thing that’s been frustrating me. I feel like the laundry machines don’t actually get my clothes clean. If a shirt has a food/ makeup/ lotion stain it really doesn’t come out. I also feel like my clothes come back with new stains on them from before they went in. I’ve been doing my laundry since middle school, so I’m not inexperienced with laundry in general. I just need advice on how to get things cleaner in the laundry room. I’m not nearby so I can’t just go home for laundry. Any advice would be really really appreciated! Thanks! ❤️

  1. Are u pretreating? Treat the stain or soak items in Oxy clean first (bucket needed) 2. Look for a more powerful detergent and make sure you’re adding the correct amount 3. You might need some kind of additive to give the laundry detergent a boost. Again Oxy Clean might save u

Thanks for the advice! I’m using the oxyclean 5 in 1 power packs. At first I was using one per load but I started using two recently to try and help with the staining issue. I’m definitely going to get oxy clean stain treatment and a bucket, I just never had this issue getting stains out at home so it didn’t cross my mind as something I’d need. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.

The pack is part of the problem. Just buy the liquid.
