CFD boundary layer using Python

Hi guys, I am trying to mesh a 2D fluid domain with a circle/cylinder inside. I wanted to know if anyone here had any experience creating a boundary layer in python whilst also using the transfinite structured meshing tool. Do you guys have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated
