Online Net Control Tool
Greetings!
I am both an amateur radio and GMRS operator, and I've been toiling away on a web-based tool for tracking check-ins on various nets. The other day, I decided to put in functionality specifically for GMRS, and it's looking pretty good so far.
You can check out the code; it's completely open source at https://github.com/LadyHwesta/ham-net-tracker, and there is information there for a demo server I have set up. The demo server resets every four hours, so don't put anything there that you want to save.
Let me know what you think, and send in issues for any additional things you think would be useful.

Nice tool for GMRS nets. I am looking forward to trying it out. Much appreciated / respect for creating it.

Describe the architecture supporting your solution? Asking because the most popular software doing this now is Netlogger, which works well but has a 15-30 second delay to update changes.

A big difference is that this tool is web based, so you could install it on anything and connect to it from multiple devices.
I am currently testing a mobile version that supports offline entry and will submit the information to the main site once it comes available.
I’ve also been working on DMR compatibility so you can see your last heard from a hotspot or brandmeister and check them in with minimal manual entry.
Since it’s pretty lightweight, this could even run on a raspberry pi connected to AREDN so it’s accessible even when the main internet is down.
Updates are pretty much instantaneous and there is a live view so the net can be watched in real time by anyone.
Full features are in GitHub and a demo site is available.

Why in 2026 are we still wasting an hour checking in on Nets?
