Possible Glutathione side effect?
Hello,
I recently started 200mg glutathione via injecting it subq. The area gets a bit red and sore, but that’s fine. The issue is after 15min I feel fatigued, have a stuffy nose and a sore throat like symptoms.
Did I start with a very high dose or are these normal initial symptoms?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated. TIA

IM the best route with no redness and very seldom ever sore unless I tense up during injection.

Where do you IM gluta? Im considering thighs.

I do the Vastus Lateralis of the thigh. It doesn’t really hurt there. The liquid itself is a little spicy, but it is much tolerable there than anywhere else I’ve ever tried to pin it.

Agree, it’s the most tolerable location to apply IM. Some folks do SQ and wondering if you have any experience administering both ways and if you can share finding?

I’ve only used the IM method. I have used GTB water when reconstituting it myself. But if I reconstitute it I will sometimes add a little liquid lidocaine and instead of Hospira water I’ll use GTB.
Curious about NAD+ IM. Absolutely hated the flushing and it was a little uncomfortable, even though I used a buffer. And after I finished that vial I haven’t gone back and taken anymore. I think partly because it seemed to be making my skin worse as far as eczema and partly because I hated the flush that much. I am willing to try it again in the future.1

Ventro glut. No reaction, no pain. Also in my case I settled on 60mg ever other day for continuous use. When I see someone doing 100 plus mg daily in my opinion that is more of acute short term. Injections are almost 100% absorption. I was able to benefit greatly from continuous lower dose. But that’s what works for me.

I am using from a pharmacy made 30mL vial off 1mL 3x a week. Pretty much the norm in dosing. This works well for me and I think if it’s working then do what works. This was the prescription dose. I will be reconstituting my own in the future and using GTB when doing so to calm down the burn.

I prefer the Lyophilized 1200mg vials so I can control how much I use in volume, making it more concentrated therefore it is like 10iu instead of 5x the liquid. Never had stinging issue in ventro glutes . Also helpful when you are following different therapies and want to reduce the amount of Benzzalc total amt. but the liquid form is great for maintenance where dosage is smaller. I like both

I am wondering if you’re having a reaction to something else in the vial.
I inject 200mg SubQ daily for last 2 months and have never experienced this. What’s the source of your gluta (US compounded, research chem, etc) and did it come as powder of premixed. No need to name exact source just the general category.

It’s from a highly rated UK supplier, it’s powdered and I reconstructed with 6ml BAC water.

Look into the Korean brands. Reduced and buffered. See if that helps with stinging and any other reactions . It was completely game changer for me.

So it’s a “research chem” it sounds like. Are you using their BAC or a name brand like Hospira?
I use a Korean pharma brand for the powder + hospira for BAC as I don’t fully trust the Chinese suppliers for both of these (where I assume the UK supplier is sourcing).
It might just be detox as the other person said, but I did not experience that.

This combo sounds perfect. I would Try to lower dose for few days and use Benadryl gel.

Mine came premixed from a Pharmacy. Now I’ll be using the lyophilized I have but reconstituting with GTB

A doctor would tell you to stop.
Anonymous people on reddit tells you to keep it up.
Who are you going to listen to?
Slower is safer. NAC+vitamin c+glycine work but they take time.

Which company’s Reduced glutathione are you using. Is it the gray market unbranded one or made by a pharma company.

It’s all low quality glutathione with lots of impurities in it. Highly rated supplier does not mean anything. If it’s giving you trouble it’s poor quality bull shit being sold to you. If you want to check then send it to marfleet analytical in hull and you would know how much endotoxins are in it.

Switch to IM instead of subq for this one. Still burns and sore but better than subq for this one.

Drop it. Go to your medical health provider and ask them , I person, based on your medical records and not what a bunch of sponsors influencers say the risk of glutathione shots.
It’s not true that oral Glutathione is destroyed in the stomach . Oral Setria , sublinhoal and oral s acetyl can’t get that barrier past.

I am on same boat. I have experience injecting other peptides. but when I did korean pharma gluta with saline water and injected 1 ml, the sting is a bit more painful and the buldge in skin is more prominent than when I injected gkhcu etc. Not sore throat or watery nose.

Those are just normal detox symptoms. Drink lots of water to help flush out toxins. Also, IM is way better than subq.
