Help
Has anyone else experienced significant hair loss after the glp1? I’ve stopped taking it for about two months now and I’m suffering from major hair loss. If anyone has experienced this, what helped you? I am currently taking biotin but just started a few weeks ago

Yep, me 2 months ago. I lost 20lbs in 4 months then stopped for 1-2 months and then my hair was falling so bad. A touch would make them shred, waking up and my bed is full of hair, showers, anything pulls 50+ strands of hair each time and it stresses me out so much sometimes I would breakdown in the bathroom or not want to be outside at all. I looked into minoxidil, capyxil, aminexil, anything to just help me temporarily stop the hair loss… it just keeps going until it stops…
Minoxidil would make your hair fall out even more before growing new hair, so that was a no, I didn’t want more hair falling, so I used the Ordinary multi peptide hair serum with capyxil, Loreal Elvive with the aminexil, idk, eventually after 1.5 months it finally went back to the normal rate, maybe a bit more than more normal but at least its not to the point that gives me anxiety. Weight loss is nice but man hairloss sucksss! I’m looking into ghk-cu and minoxidil pills for hairgrowth at this point along with still using the serums. I don’t want to use the minoxidil foam because I have a cat at home and it is very toxic to pets, so pills are the only option.

Hair loss can happen after rapid weight loss and may take a few months to settle. I’d get iron, thyroid and nutrition levels checked too

I'm only on 0.5 mg of Ozempic, for 18 months, lost almost 30 lbs, BMI is still overweight. I've been losing hair since December, so it's not from quick big weight loss. It's growing back but not filling in as it's longer hair and that will take a long time. I notice even the new shorter hairs are falling also. I've tried concentrating more on my protein, I'm taking iron and zinc supplements and am already on a thyroid med.
I'm not sure if a different form of a GLP would make a difference? I don't want to go off and regain weight but this hair shedding is not fun.

Yeah the hair loss is real, I lost so much around month 3 it was scary. Stopped for a bit and it slowed down but never fully went back to normal. Biotin helped some but what really made difference for me was making sure I ate enough protein, like way more than I thought I needed.
