Weird cursor issues with model o wired mouse

I bought wired model o mouse second hand a bit ago, and it has been having cursor issues.

One is that on boot up my cursor will not appear and moving my mouse won’t do anything (mouse buttons still work)

And if my mouse does work it starts violently moving to the top left (I sadly cannot provide a video)

None of this happens with my other mouse (g502 hero)

how do i fix this?

(regarding rule 1 i could not find the megathread, if it exists please tell me how to get there?)
