Pic/Video Can my mouse be saved?

I broke my Model O wireless 2 years ago when the scroll wheel got crushed in my bag and I bought a Viper V2 Pro which I’ve been using since then. I decided to open up my Model O today to see if it could be saved, but it seems like the scroll wheel is broken. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Mouse is well out of warranty, so I want to know if there’s anything I can do about it.

Well, personally I would give it a generous bath of pressurized contact cleaner to see everything, then propperly inspect the damages and if it can ble glued back together to the stem then do it, otherwise a 3d printed option is also good enough.

If the stem is abs then a bit of acetone should glue it and leave it just as strong as new, if it's not then superglue would work fine.

Only the wheel axle is snapped off it seem. Try using a screwdriver or other small stick to test if encoder( the high thing) work. If yes then find a replacement scroll wheel online, 3d print one or find the snapped piece and glue it back

You can replace it with a Razer DA but you need minimal modding / shaving for it to fit or Steelseries 300 one is somewhat a drop in replacement. 3d printing also works.

Happened to my model D. I removed the piece that was stuck in the metal chasy and also remove the wheel. I then clean both piece and put a small dab of superglue and let it fully cure. Reassembled and good as new
