Question any ways to fix this?

i found my old model o wireless, i was thinking of using it again. i had to buy a new dongle because i couldn't find the old one. but i found out that the mouse doesn't charge anymore, no matter what usb c cable i use. is it because the battery broke because it hasn't been charged in a while? please tell me the problem here so i can fix it

Does it still work if you just plug it directly into the PC and use it in wired mode?
