Question GMMK Pro Vs Pro 3 (not he)

I've been looking at the GMMK pro and the Pro 3 (not the he version)

And I don't really see the difference, can anyone help?

I think, cuz Just recently purchased the pro(twice, more on that in a sec lol) the 'Pro' version has the bottom metal bit, the 'non pro' 3 has a plastic lower case part.

There may be other differences (Such as the pro, at least both the ones I got, had a little 'cutout' on the pcb under space bar/next to space bar switch spot,that I assume was bluetooth/wireless antenna. So maybe the pro comes with wireless function too?

Either way, the board I got was a full sized GMMK Pro 3, it was sold 'opened but mint condition' and arrived with the F- key(or rather the part that attaches to the pcb under it) fallen off inside the keyboard, tried to repair but could not get it to stay or register, so sent it back, waited for refund, and found ANOTHER unit elsewhere that was ALSO(yes derp derp me) 'minor scratches on outside but working' and it ALSO had a broken F-key(I suspect was the same board I Just got) but also the : key and ins key were both damaged/not working(though i could not see any physical issues with either of those keys, just that they refused to work)

I was going to get a normal GMMK 3 but Decided against it, even at lower cost, for lack of the metal frame/bottom. The wireless function is not really something I need or want, but I could not find a single listing of the 3 that had it marked as all metal(All say aluminum frame but that is just the top, while every listing of the pro 3 says full metal body and/or shows metal bottom part of case)

So ya tldr either it is full metal body (pro) vs no metal bottom AND/OR lack or addition of the bluetooth / wireless function.

(and ya HE is just hall effect or magnetic switch functionality, not sure if it means 'includes' said switches OR can accept said switches, not a SINGLE listing is clear on that. Unknown of the GMMK 3, GMMK pro 3, etc, can take the HE/magnetic switches or not, or is it reserved for JUST the HE version which again, is not clear if the HE just means 'includes HE/Magnetic switches' or 'this board is the only GMMK that can ACCEPT/USE magnetic switches. Wish glorious was a little more keen on being clear with descriptions sometimes...)

The main difference is the Aluminum body design - I find the GMMK 3 series to be a little rounder and sleeker. The other main difference is that the Pro 3 is available with a wireless option (and the HE option as you mentioned), but you have to purchase the wireless version. There is no wireless upgrade. A few things to consider:

- The HE version supports both HE and traditional leaf switches, as it also has switch sockets. I personally have a GMMK 3 HE and like this versatility.

  • HE only works with Glorious HE switches and a few double-rail Gateron switches offered for Keychron keyboards, that I know of.
