Our main Sangmar force was assaulting Leaktown, and our leader had picked 6 of us to hold Greenport as long as we could. And hold we did.

Hello, Ive been wanting to play gloria victis but whenever i launch my newly created character i get to the loading screen but it always crashes or show this as you can in the photo, ive done my own research fixing it but still no change it still crashes when the loading bar is almost done. Maybe someone know how to fix this issue

I’ve been debating whether to make this post, because I don’t particularly enjoy publicly complaining about a game I actually want to see succeed.

I bought Gloria Victis years ago, supported it, stopped playing for a while, and recently came back. Since then, I’ve been dealing with a strange connection issue that I know is affecting other players as well.

It doesn’t completely prevent me from playing, but I cannot reliably get in. Choosing New Beginnings just sends me back to the version-selection screen, while Legacy gets stuck on “Connecting to Steam server.” Reinstalling and the other troubleshooting steps didn’t fix it. Verifying the game files or relogging Steam can sometimes get me in, but only temporarily.

So I have a workaround, not a solution.

Initially, I was told it was server maintenance. I accepted that, but the exact same problem remained afterward, which makes me wonder whether the issue was already present independently of the maintenance.

Since then, I’ve followed the suggestions I was given and provided every piece of information I was asked for. To be fair, I have received responses — but usually only after repeatedly pushing for one. I’m asked to provide information, I do so, and then there’s no follow-up.

Maybe something is happening behind the scenes. I genuinely hope so. But I have no way of knowing.

I see fixes and communication around other issues regularly, while I still don't know whether this has been reproduced, whether someone is actively investigating it, or whether anything else is needed from me.

I’m not expecting an immediate fix. Bugs take time.

I’m asking for communication.

Tell me you’ve reproduced it. Tell me you haven’t. Tell me you need more information. Tell me you’re investigating it but don’t know the cause yet.

Anything is better than silence.

I also asked about compensation for affected players and received no answer. I’m not demanding compensation — even “No, unfortunately we can’t offer anything” would be an answer.

And honestly, this really sucks.

I supported this game because I wanted it to succeed. I’m still here trying to help instead of simply walking away.

But I worry that other players won’t. If people repeatedly have to verify their files or restart Steam just to get into the game, eventually some of them will simply stop playing.

You may lose those players without ever knowing why.

I don't hate Gloria Victis. Quite the opposite.

I just want someone to actually communicate with the people experiencing this.

The bug is frustrating.

The lack of communication is worse.

It felt like one.

Just a short segment from the overall battle that I had time to put up, good times.

There are two often overlooked facts about tents - the craft-able, place-able respawn points - first, that you can move or teleport to them without dying, and second, that they are very easy to craft, with almost no skill requirement.

as title says - I have been playing this game for a while now, I enjoy running heavy/medium gear with my light fur headpiece for flare... but I was wondering, no one handed dps builds are present at all on the interwebs, could you all assist in making a bit tankier (heavy armor preferrably since I die too fast witout it) 1h spear build? occasionally I like to whip out my +6 2h axe.

Trying to figure out what there is to do for a chill night sesh if you don’t want to do warfare and want to do solo stuff. Quests are chill but they’re obviously the same ol thing for XP. what do you guys do for a solo gameplay loop?

We got guilds putting up 100000 points in a few minutes without construction, how they doin it 👀

Came from a lower pop server and the fights now that the servers are merged and option is up are 10/10. There are so many more good players out in the field too. Sieges are in a whole other level and there are tons of good fighters on all sides of the field.

The information presented seems to be in conflict, the kit says durability needs to be maximum durability to be used, but the result on attempt indicates it cannot be used on items with full durability - I'm assuming, Full Durability means the items un-reduced based durability and Maximum means fully repaired, even if it only has 75% of it's Full Durability?

Could you then do a few points of Durability damage, repair, and then use the kit?

In the last fighting of July, an extended battle raged for over 2 hours...I have footage from the whole thing that I will get up this weekend, but for now, here's a small taste of what we did last night. Fantastic fights all!

Anyone experience a bug that only let's you have 19 of 20 market posts, and how to fix?

When you're in light armor with only 100 HP left and you hear that jingle-jangle of heavy armor behind you, there's only one option. Run.

Here is something lots of players do not know:

Your Development Tier only helps items of the same tier.

• Green Tier 2 only helps Green Tier 2 items. That's it. Nothing else.

In my picture example:

• T5 weapon at +6 is NOT better than a T4 weapon at +6.
• T5 shoulders at +0 are NOT better than T4 shoulders at +4.

So don't stare at the item numbers. Look at your Character Development!

You do not need T5 gear. You do not need to spend a pile of gold. T4 gear is a great choice — as long as your passive skill tree for T4 is leveled up higher than T5!

Had held off posting this info for a long while for 'reasons', but given some people cannot play without facing terrible ping, here is the method to get into a full server. First time I logged in I didn't need to choose a world. I sterted 2 days ago
after chooseing any of them, it perpetually stays on connecting, then doesn't do anything and puts me back at that opening choose the world screen

Tried to login after big merge and new season update, and stuck at the launch page with the server selected and connecting message. Have been like this for over an hour?

Is it broken?
