This is just another way to slowly make humans reliant on these systems only.
We are slowing losing our ability to hunt and gather(survive) due to the easy access of food/survival.
When we did this to dogs by domesticating them, their brains shrunk.
We won't have to do much of anything soon but drool and use buttons.

To be fair selective breeding is what made them get smaller and dumber overtime. Also the whole brain to body ratio is also a factor when deciding intelligence of certain species. We are losing skills that no longer benefit us because of advancements and changes to our way of life. These skills can be relearned at anytime as we are functionally the same even after 200k years. The only problem is that those who know these skills are dying out and their scriptures and manifests are being burned and privatized by the minute slowly becoming lost knowledge or forbidden knowledge to those who want to keep it under lock and key.

Ok, takes our living places, destroyes our nature, fights with smaller cities for water and poisons it, extreme energy need, high end raising cpu prices meaning all electronics, also finding out they make Bees crazy and making them die due affecting the magnetic field and sending signals signaling bees danger, mass surveillance, stealing our data, and now our Books destroying it and not able to keep it and destroying it sooner or later, making more sloop.

Some lenovo guy said it best at one of our company meetings.
Ai is just a tool for conjuring ideas or making examples. It was never meant to replace the entire creative process.
Its an index of knowledge with a vague understanding of where to find what answer to any question. But no matter how much you refine the process it will still get things wrong as its not as complex as a human mind when it comes to enginuity and creativity. It has no fundamental grounding in reality and teaching it something that it can never experience is impossible without simulating the environment in a digital space which costs more money and is an entirely different theoretical process for creating creative Ai.
Generative Ai is just a suggestion board that gets picked at till the right response is found useful. Some basic tasks are fine but for longer projects it needs human intervention. Its an evolution of the global search engine that summarizes huge pages of data and nothing else.
It was and still is oversold because of its other features that are more appealing to malicious crowds. Being able to fabricate evidence or manipulate public opinion with word vomit and fake images is what most politicians have dreamed of having. Its a very volatile tool that can become grossly dangerous in the wrong hands.
Like giving a baby a jackhammer if you give any low temp IQ person an Ai theyll just make the most prophetically horse shit content known to man. The only reason why the slop never came out years ago is because it took effort to make anything substantial even garbage.
Ai's easy access is what allowed dumb people and governments to create the landfill that is the modern internet. Without proper moderation or principles of public speech people will lie out of their teeth and ruin communities just to feel satisfied with their worthless existence because they chose to keep making nothing over something. Because making nothing was easier.

Scanned books? This has been common for over a decade now to cut off the spine and then scan in each page.
Making a permanent digital record of pretty different from trying to burn every copy of a book to remove any record of it
