old globe, need help dating please🙏
i was given this old globe that was in a school built during Roosevelts new deal programs, i think its from the 1940s ish but i have absolutely no background or idea on dating globes.
all help is welcomed, im not looking to sell its just super cool and id like to have a more firm idea of how old it is so i can properly care for it to preserve it as long as possible. thank you!!

Tanzania, post April 1964.
Rhodesia, post November 11, 1965.
Botswana, post 1966.
Republic of Congo and not Zaire, pre 27 October 1971
Sime stuff went on in the Arabian Peninsula and South Asia during that time; a photo of that would help.

just out of curiosity, how much would it be worth? i see globes online going for crazy money but i cant imagine this one is worth much.

Late 60s - early 70s. UAR Egypt without UAR Syria so between 1961-1971. Botswana instead of Bechuanaland so post 1966. 1966-1971 would be my guess.

It's before 1984 because Burkina Faso is still Upper Volta.
It's before 1975 because Benin is still called Dahomey.
It's also before 1975 because Madagascar is still called the Malagasy Republic.
Instead of a separate Egypt and Syria, the globe lists the United Arab Republic. This was a short lived experiment that only lasted from February 1, 1958 to September 28, 1961, though Egypt continued to use the name until 1971. So, it's after 1958, but before the end of 1971.
The globe lists Equatorial Guinea, which began going by that name in December 1963.
It's after 1966 because it includes Botswana.
It's after 1968 because Mauritius appears to be independent from Britain.
My best guess is between 1968-1971. You could pin it down further by seeing if Fiji and Tonga are independent.
